KL City Opera Orchestra Auditions
We are inviting aspiring musicians, music students and opera enthusiasts, ages 18 and above, living and residing in Kuala Lumpur who are interested to indulge in opera orchestra playing to audition for the KL City Opera Orchestra.
Players will perform in 2 concerts and 1 opera production in 2024. Selection of the players are based on their audition and final decision is at the discretion of the Company.
Auditions will be held in two rounds:
Round 1: Video submission, 2 contrasting pieces (free-choice, between 5 - 8 minutes in total).
Submission at “bit.ly/klcoorchestra” by 8th April 2024. Announcement of results on 22nd April 2024.
Round 2* (for shortlisted candidates): Live audition, 1 piece (free-choice) + Orchestra Excerpts
Live audition at Kuala Lumpur City Opera Studio on week of 13 May 2024. Venue for percussion audition to be advised.
