6 July 2024 . Day 1 - Our much anticipated 2024 Summer Camp is here and we gather in the peaceful little town of Broga. First stop was breakfast at the Orchard Hill Cafe and then followed by a visit to the Sak Dato Temple and the Sun Wukong lookout. After the hike, we had lunch at Little Broga Kitchen before we check-in to the Eco Bliss resort. We stopped by Ah Yap grill fish to order our dinner for tomorrow. Someone couldn’t resist and bought some local durian for tonight.

After a short briefing, the camp opens with the ice breaking session. Led by Joshua Andy, we got ourselves into knots, we mimed, we threw hoops and we laughed (a lot). Everyone had fun. The program continued with a forum with our facilitators as the panelists moderated by Danny Chen. Many questions around career as an opera singer, repertoire, how to study effectively and maintaining a healthy voice. It was a very insightful session. Dinner was at Hai Wei Tian, delicious food, reasonably priced and beautiful view. The one-to-one master class started after dinner until 9:45pm. We ended the night with some durian for supper.

7 July 2024 . Day 2 After breakfast, participants gathered for the morning exercise followed by another busy day of practice, practice, practice. Participants are coached on diction, vocal technique and musicianship.

After all the hardwork, we had a sumptuous dinner before our final rehearsal. Food was ordered from Ah Yap grill fish, a nearby restaurant. Everyone performed very well and it’s going to be a very entertaining concert.

8 July 2024. Day 3. Today we bid farewell to Broga Eco Bliss Resort. Many sweet memories with our facilitators and fellow participants. A unique learning experience amidst the beauty, the serenity and the bliss of Broga Hill.
